The mechanism for developing engineering and technical centres at industrial enterprises in the Krasnodar Region was launched at the initiative of Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.
«We have been providing financial support to manufacturers’ design bureaus since 2023, covering up to 95% of their costs related to these initiatives. During this period, we have provided financial support for the development of 34 industrial engineering and technical centres, amounting to a total of 332.3 million roubles. As a result, manufacturers have launched 114 new machinery and equipment models, 70 of which were released in 2025. These developments span unmanned aerial systems, mechanical engineering, machine tool manufacturing, and radio electronics,» said Dmitry Khmelko, Acting Minister of Industrial Policy of the Krasnodar region.
The head of the department cited gallium arsenide solar cells developed by Saturn company as a prime example. These solar cells achieve 30% efficiency, surpassing global benchmarks.
PishTech, an industrial company in the Dinsky District of the Krasnodar Region, has developed and now manufactures unique Russian food processing equipment, thanks to its in-house engineering centre. This includes root vegetable washing and cleaning machines, ovens, industrial frying pans and dishwashers, meat mincers, grills, hobs, dough mixers and rollers, and combi steamers combining steamer and convection functions.
According to Dmitry Khmelko, manufacturers in the Krasnodar Region produce unique products that do not imitate foreign counterparts but surpass them in quality and reliability.
«Three years ago, we expanded our business support mechanisms by implementing measures to encourage the production of such products. Following the directives of the Governor of the Krasnodar Region, we intend to keep these measures in place this year,» said Dmitry Khmelko.
