The governor of the Krasnodar Region announced the news to journalists.
«The Krasnodar Region rightfully ranks as a leading Russian producer of grapes and wine. By the end of 2025, we had harvested a record 313,000 tonnes of grapes. This enabled us to increase still wine production by 9%. As a result, total wine production exceeded 25 million decilitres, which is 7.5% more than the previous year. This year, our target is to produce at least 26 million decilitres of high-quality wine,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.
In 2025, the Krasnodar Region produced a total of 15.5 million decilitres of still wine and 9.5 million decilitres of sparkling wine.
At present, vineyards in the region cover around 33,500 hectares. The region’s unique soil conditions enable production of high-quality grapes. In 2026, 1,300 additional hectares of vineyards will be planted.
Five nurseries in the Krasnodar Region produce 8.5 million seedlings annually. Their output grows annually to meet rising market demand, supplying not only regional farms but all over Russia. This year, farmers expect to produce 4.8 million seedlings.
In 2026, the regional budget will allocate over 930 million roubles to support viticulture and winemaking.
