The Health Ministry proposed to increase the working day of employees smoking at the time of smoking breaks.

A proposal stated in the anti-tobacco concept on 2017-2022 years.

"The ability of the employer to increase the duration of working time employee in proportion to the time spent on them tobacco smoking during working hours," - the document says.

The concept provides a continuous rate hikes on tobacco products to the level of taxation among the countries in the WHO European Region. Including Health Ministry proposes to introduce a tax on retail sales of conventional and electronic cigarettes in the amount of 10% of the price of the goods. The funds will be spent in the regions budgets.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in December presented calculations, according to which in 2017 the cost of a pack of cigarettes could reach 220 rubles.

The Ministry of Health has offered to limit consumption of electronic cigarettes to the same rules which currently apply to conventional cigarettes.
