Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved the index of indexing of social pensions since April 1.

"To approve the index of indexation of social pensions from April 1, 2017 in the amount of 1.015," the resolution says.

In connection with the indexation, pensions will be raised for servicemen and members of their families, participants in the Great Patriotic War, citizens awarded with the sign "Resident of Leningrad", citizens affected by radiation or man-made disasters and their families, citizens from the flight test Composition, as well as supplements to retirement pensions for astronauts, members of their families, flight test personnel.

The average size of the social pension will increase by 129 rubles and after an increase of 8 thousand 774 rubles.
