Russian industry in November showed an increase after the October decline

Industrial production in Russia in November in annual terms rose by 2.7% after the October decline for 11 months, the growth was 0.8%, according to Rosstat Thursday.
The growth of industrial production in Russia amounted to 2.7% in November compared to October of the current year, however, with the exception of seasonal and calendar factors, industrial production in November rose by 0.5% after rising 0.6% the previous month.
The growth in annual terms, the Russian industry showed in February this year - while industrial production increased by 1% for the first time since January 2015. In March the index decreased again - to 0.5%, then the entire second quarter, industrial production showed a positive trend: 0.5% in April, 0.7% in May and 1.7% in June. In July, it was recorded decline by 0.3% in August - an increase of 0.7%. In September, the industry once again showed a decline of 0.8% in October - by 0.2%.
Mining and quarrying in November showed an increase of 2.7% in annual terms, as compared to October - the decline of 3.1%; in the manufacturing sector recorded growth of 2.5% in annual terms, in the month - an increase of 3.6%. Production and distribution of electricity, gas and water increased in November by 4.1% in annual terms, compared with the previous month - by 12.9%.
In January-November this year, mining increased by 2.4% in annual terms; manufacturing decreased by 0.3%; power generation and distribution, gas and water increased by 1.1%.
