The Rosselkhoznadzor temporarily limited the import of live poultry and hatching eggs from three regions of Italy: Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Piedmont.

Restrictions are effective from April 20. The reason for the ban is bird flu. In addition, restrictions are imposed on the transit through Russia of the corresponding products from these regions.

In mid-February, the Rosselkhoznadzor introduced a temporary ban on the import of live poultry and eggs from various regions of Italy, Greece, Slovakia and Poland, where foci of avian influenza were found. In Italy, the ban was extended to the territory of the Emilia-Romagna region, TASS reported.
