Since June 16, the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on the importation of all kinds of ruminant animals from the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, as well as their genetic material and livestock products not properly processed. This was reported by the press service of the department.

The decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor is associated with an outbreak of pasteurellosis among pigs.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision, Sergei Dankvert, said that direct losses of the Russian Federation for 10 years from the African swine fever reached 5 billion rubles.
