Putin: it is impossible to artificially regulate the ruble rate

The head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on May 15 during a press conference after the forum "One belt - one way" said that it is impossible to artificially regulate the ruble's exchange rate.

"Artificially nothing can be done, and in this sense I agree with the policy of the Bank of Russia. The policy and position of the Bank of Russia are based on a set of different, but extremely important components for the country's economy. Practice shows that all the Bank of Russia's actions were balanced and faithful, "the president said.

Putin added that the Bank of Russia, in case of any hesitation in the international financial market, will not need to make any sharp moves, and in this he will be absolutely right. Also, according to the president, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is acting neatly and gradually in the direction of reducing the key rate.

"We believe constantly what this means for the budget, what does this mean for specific export-oriented and import-oriented enterprises. In general, the balance is satisfactory for us, and we are not going to do anything artificial”.
