This was announced at a working group meeting on advancing the region’s metallurgy, metalworking, and engineering sectors, chaired by Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel.
«Metallurgy, metalworking, and mechanical engineering are the largest industrial sectors in our region. They account for more than half of total industrial output in the Krasnodar Region. In the first 11 months of 2025 alone, around 5,500 enterprises in these sectors sold products worth nearly 295 billion roubles. These industries are developing new technologies, contributing to the position of Russia as a leader in the industrial sector,» said Alexander Ruppel.
According to Dmitry Khmelko, the Minister of Industrial Policy of the Krasnodar Region, industrial output is expected to grow in 2026 driven by the development of the engineering sector and government support measures. These targeted subsidies to support manufacturers’ innovative activities, introduced in prior years, have proven to be effective.
As part of the co-financing scheme, manufacturers will continue to receive compensation for costs associated with leasing the necessary equipment, as well as for new equipment listed in the register of Russian manufacturers.
«What’s more, we intend to allocate funds from the region’s Industrial Development Fund to support the automation and robotisation of production facilities. Under our preferential loan scheme, we are launching the new «Production Automation» programme. These loans will enable companies to acquire robotic systems and hire integrators to introduce them into production,» said Dmitry Khmelko.
