According to the order of the Ministry of Finance, the retail price of a bottle of vodka can now not be less than 205 rubles, which is 8% more than the previous lower limit. The minimum wholesale and producer prices will change - 178 and 173 rubles, respectively.

The order of the ministry will also change the prices for cognac: the minimum retail price per 0.5 liter bottle will grow by 15.2% - to 371 rubles. At the manufacturer it should cost at least 314 rubles, which is 25.6% more. The wholesale price will increase by 23.3%, to 323 rubles.

As the Internet portal "Kuban 24" wrote, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Khloponin instructed the Ministry of Finance to set the minimum retail price for vodka at a rate of 219 rubles for 0.5 liters.

The draft order, which proposes raising the minimum retail price for vodka to 219 rubles per 0.5 liters, was made by the Ministry of Finance in January. In February, the department suggested setting a minimum retail price for vodka of 205 rubles. In the Ministry of Finance, the previously proposed value of 219 rubles was called overvalued.

The minimum cost of vodka was reduced to 185 rubles on February 1, 2015. Since June 13, 2016, the minimum retail price for vodka has risen to 190 rubles. In August 2016 the Ministry of Finance of Russia proposed raising the price for vodka to 197 rubles. In September 2016 the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia prepared a report in which it proposes to reduce the price of vodka to 100 rubles per 0.5 liters.
