In Russia in 2018 will create a unified system of identification of domestic and farm animals.

The appropriate roadmap until February 15, the Ministry of Agriculture should develop, Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

According to the innovation, the identification shall be the horse, cattle, deer, camels, poultry, dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, fur-bearing animals, bees and fish. An exception is made for wild animals in a state of natural freedom.

Farmers and pet owners need to be installed on pets and livestock chips, tattoos or brands with the UIN, which in specially created federal state information system will be tied about animal life.

According to the draft order of the Ministry of Agriculture, it will be possible to label a single animal as well as a group. For example, in case of bees - apiary all at once. The animal is a unique 15-character alpha-numeric identifier is assigned. The first two digits - uppercase letters RU, showing that animals subjected to registration in Russia; the third level - the figures showing that the question of individual identification, group, or both. Fourth sign - a capital letter: F - if the animal is grown for food or medical products, P - for pets.

Primary registration will need to spend the first three months after the animal's birth or entry into the Russian.

The requirement for mandatory labeling of plans introduced gradually. On January 1, 2018 the order will come into force for some animals (including horses, donkeys, mules, cattle, deer, camels and pigs), and since the beginning of 2019 - for small ruminants (sheep and goats), dogs and cats, poultry, fur animals and rabbits, bees, fish and other aquatic animals.
