In 2017, 450 million rubles will be allocated to support national art crafts

In 2017, according to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, it is planned to allocate 450 million rubles for financing the branch of folk art crafts, in 2018 - 615 million rubles.
At present, he added, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is gradually building a system of support for the branch of folk arts: there is a whole range of measures aimed at preserving and developing them. Thus, part of the expenses incurred for energy resources, raw materials and materials, railway transportation, payment of interest on loans for the purchase of technological equipment and spare parts to it, is compensated from the federal budget, a tax on the value-added tax for products of recognized artistic merit applies.
According to the minister, one of the priority tasks in promoting the products of organizations of national art crafts is also the integration of the industry into the sphere of tourism. For this, work is being done to develop places of traditional crafts in the format of tourist complexes of national and international importance, including them in tourist routes.
In addition, in order to familiarize the younger generation with the culture of the country's unique crafts, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has developed a supplementary education program for pupils of kindergartens and primary classes - a set of teachers entitled "The Property of Russia. Folk arts and crafts ".
Supporting organizations of the industry and folk arts and crafts contributes to strengthening the country's economy and increasing the prestige of our state at the international level, D. Manturov noted.
In 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved a strategy for the development of folk arts and crafts for the period until 2020. "The Strategy for the Development of Folk Art Crafts of Russia is based on the task of preserving and supporting the industry as a unique value, an important part of the country's cultural heritage, since the production of folk crafts is an important element National identity and statehood, representing the diversity of Russia, its individuality.
