Direct procurement from small and medium-sized businesses from large state-owned road construction sector increased markedly in 2016, and now account for 27%. This was stated at the round table of the Federal Road Agency to expand cooperation with SMEs Chairman of the Transport Committee "supports Russia" Gleb Kinder.
"Unfortunately, the level of direct purchases from small businesses from large contractors in road construction sector is extremely low and is now about 27%, in 2015 -. Not more than 15% As a rule, tenders win large construction companies, which are general contractors and do not offer participation in the project to small businesses, "- he said.
According to Kinder, state companies need to register SME participation in large construction projects as subcontractors. It is essential that the level of direct purchases from each of the major state-owned enterprises has not been less than 10%.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree, which increases the share of direct purchases from state-owned small and medium-sized businesses from 10% to 15%. The decision will come into force on January 1, 2018.
