In Kerch at the entrance to the bridge, which will connect the Crimea with mainland Russia, will build a railway station "Yuzhnaya".
The timing of the construction of the station is not yet specified. It is known that the beginning of the movement of cars along the Kerch bridge is scheduled for December 2018, the trains for December 2019, the Internet portal "Kuban 24" was informed at the info center "Crimean bridge".
The railroad to the Kerch bridge is being built by the Krasnodar Territory. This will be one of the sections of a new 40-kilometer branch, which is built on the peninsula to the port of Taman.
Within the framework of this project, the builders have already laid more than 60 km of the main tracks from 85 km of the project, built and laid out a metal bridge and two railway overpasses, ballasted the road almost 50% of the project, and started construction of the contact network.
As the Internet portal "Kuban 24" wrote, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov reported in May that the arched spans of the bridge across the Kerch Strait will be installed in the channel in the autumn.
The project of the bridge across the Kerch Strait received a positive conclusion of the Glavgosexpertiza on February 18, 2016. The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoi, said that the maximum possible measures were taken to minimize the impact on the environment during the construction of the bridge. Rosavtodor was informed that the construction of an entrance to the bridge to the Crimea is ahead of schedule.
The assembly of navigable arched spans for the Kerch bridge began in August 2016. The first sea support was erected in September 2016. Preparation for the installation of arched bridge vaults began in February 2017. In the Crimea on February 22, the construction of an auto approach leading to the bridge across the Kerch Strait was started. In the Ministry of Transport in April reported that the construction of the Kerch bridge has already passed the equator.
