Arrivals of Russians abroad decreased by 28%

The number of Russian tourists who went abroad from January to June this year amounted to 3 million 970.5 thousand. People. This figure is 28% lower than last year.
This was reported by the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Irina Turina, citing data from the Russian border guards.
According to Turina, indicator decreased due to restrictions departure to Turkey and Egypt.
Most trips to Tunisia increased - by more than 600% compared to the same period of 2015, the second - Jordan (544% growth), the third - Morocco (around 300%). In five countries, whose growth in tourist flow has exceeded 100%, also includes the Dominican Republic (167%) and Georgia (118%).
PCT noted that in absolute figures ranking the most popular destinations has changed dramatically: the first time the top was headed Thailand, in second place - Spain, up from sixth to third - China.
