AB Batteries to launch alkaline battery production in the Krasnodar Region in 2026

In the Krasnodar Region, AB Batteries plans to launch alkaline battery production, including contract manufacturing for other brands. Maxim Kosobokov, Commercial Director of the company, explained that the project aims to reach a production capacity of up to 300 million batteries per year.

A portion of the products will be manufactured under the company's Go Power brand, while a substantial volume is projected to be supplied to retail chains under other brand names. According to Maxim Kosobokov, this model will allow the company to capture a market niche currently dominated by imports.

According to experts, imported alkaline batteries dominate over 90% of Russia’s market. Local production in the Krasnodar Region could prove transformative for the sector.
