British newspaper The Telegraph has included Russia in the top 20 tourist destinations recommended for visit this year.

Among the reasons to go to the Russian Federation referred to the great cultural heritage that is closely linked to the United Kingdom, and the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution.

 

"Russia remains a mystery to many. Some may consider it a hostile country. But this is not the case. Our social and cultural ties, especially in literature, music and ballet, have shared deep historical roots. Even the Queen is directly related to the Romanovs ", - the report says The Telegraph.

 

The authors recommend to visit the historic halls of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Lenin's mausoleum and walk along the Kremlin wall in Moscow, according to the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
