Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on June 8 signed a decree on increasing the volume of subsidies for the development of crop production, processing and sales of 2.5 billion. "For reimbursement of interest on short-term loans for the development of crop production, processing and sales regions are encouraged to send more than 21 billion rubles, — said the Prime Minister. — 2.5 billion rubles allocated within the plan of priority actions, that is our anti-crisis plan. These money should help agricultural enterprises to overcome the problem of over-indebtedness". He added, however, that you need to make sure that this money soon reached the destination. He instructed Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich to take the problem under control. "And we [the money] here are sent, they seem to be divided, and agricultural companies say, and we never got them. Where are they located? If they are in the regions, then you need to ask of them for that matter, any measures to take until disciplinary, — said Medvedev. — It should not be, especially when it comes to the harvest, when it comes to preparation for sowing or for any events of farm life." The Cabinet on 13 February already provided subsidies for the development of crop in the amount of 18 billion 842,3 million.
