Medvedev: Oil prices are not encouraging, but Russia has a "plan B" and even a "Plan C"

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with representatives of the Russian TV channels has assured that Russia has a "plan B" and even a "Plan C" in the event of an unfavorable oil market.

"Of course, we presume at the moment of realistic scenarios (development of the economy - ed.). But we would be bad managers, had had no" plan B "and even a" Plan C ", if the need for such a situation," - said the prime minister within the traditional program "Conversation with the Prime Minister."

He admitted that "oil prices are not encouraging," and are now at their lowest in 17 years level.

"It is bad that our economy is so dependent on oil. But this is not its structure we formed it: it was formed 60 years past" - recalled Prime Minister, noting that in 5-10 years the situation has not fundamentally changed.
