In the Russian Federation new directories of the average cost of spare parts for repair under OSAGO

The previous updated version of the reference book was published on June 1.
The Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) since August 1 has introduced new updated directories of the average cost of spare parts that will correspond to the practice of in-kind compensation in OSAGO. The previous version, released on June 1, left the average cost of spare parts at the same level.
Earlier, the RSA carried out the actualization of these reference books every six months. However, in May, the president of the union, Igor Yurgens, said: in order to better take into account the accumulated practice, the possibility of actualization more often is considered.
According to Yurgens, the introduction of updated directories will reduce the average cost of spare parts by 8%.
The law on in-kind payments under OSAGO entered into force on April 28. Now, the owner of the car injured in an accident, instead of paying the insurance sum, receives a referral for repairs.
