The products of the Matsesta Tea Factory were highly assessed at the Great Taste International Competition of Fine Foods, a British Guild of Manufacturers of High-Quality Products.
For two months, more than 500 professional tea testers, sommeliers, restaurateurs, chefs, restaurant critics and retailers «blindly» assessed food and drinks. In total, 12,600 products from different countries were submitted for the contest including the earliest May hand-picked tea from Sochi.
Both black and green Kuban teas were selected in the elite category. They were awarded the highest «3 stars» from the Great Taste experts.
It should be recalled that tea production in the Krasnodar Region is experiencing a second birth. While 327 tons of tea were produced in 2015, this figure reached 553 in 2017. This became possible due to the regional program for supporting the industry.

Matsesta Tea has become the first Russian representative to join Fine Foods, a British Guild of the manufacturers of high-quality products. The Guild was founded in 1995 to support and encourage manufacturers of products with a protected geographical brand, as well as farms that make their own environmentally friendly products.
The Guild unites thousands of members around the world and holds events aimed at promoting advanced experience in all sectors of trade, and establishing closer relations between producers and retail representatives. The Great Taste contest is participated both by the members of the Guild, and also by companies around the world aimed at the development of facilities to make quality foods.
