In Russia, for two years, the market took 27% of the banks

Sberbank chief analyst Mikhail Matovnikov in May said that a full-fledged banking crisis occurred in Russia.
This he said at a visiting session of the Committee for Cooperation with the minority shareholders of the Savings Bank.
"There is a very significant event in the banking system. You can talk about full-fledged banking crisis: two-plus years from the market took about 27% of the banks. The main blow took over not only the smallest banks, many mid-sized banks, "- said Matovnikov.
He noted that such banks are more dependent on the market and the loss of customer confidence. According Matovnikova, in general, the number of banks since the beginning of 2014 to May of this year has decreased from 922 to 697, according to TASS.
